MAKING GOD KNOWN

The Outreach Phase is when you will put into action everything you have learned during the lecture phase. The heart of outreach is to effectively communicate the love of God to the people you will encounter. This will be done through a variety of ministry opportunities. Ministry varies according to location, but the bottom line is evangelism and discipleship. You will be sharing Jesus with people you meet through a variety of activities. These activities may include youth ministry, evangelism both one-on-one and in large gatherings, and practical service. Teams are often partnered with long-term YWAM ministries, local churches, or contacts in outreach locations.

COSTS
The costs are:  a registration/materials fee of R$400 (Brazilian Reais), (which needs to be paid on arrival) and a monthly fee of R$1100 (Brazilian Reais) for the first three months of the theorical phase and is not including the practical outreach fees.  The practical outreach will have additional costs like travel expenses and when necessary visa costs (***-this amount can vary depending on the location of the outreach). 

 

How to apply as a student?

To apply you must provide all the following:

• You need to be at least 18 years old, 

• Fill out and sign an application form

• Ask your pastor to fill out a confidential reference.  

• Ask a friend to fill out a confidential reference

• Personal Health Form

• A State or Federal criminal background check

• Must have read and signed all the following documents (YWAM International values, YWAM international child protection policy)

 

Please have the confidential references sent personally by the person filling out the reference and all the signed documents scanned and sent via e-mail. Once all the requirements have been received, the DTS team will pray and make a decision about your application, and as soon as possible you will have an answer.

 

VISA INFORMATION

All non- Brazilian students need to apply for a volunteer´s visa to attend the school. I This visa process generally can take from 3 – 5 months ( * of course, this varies from one person to another, depending from which country you are from and so forth) to complete this type of visa process.

 After you have received your acceptance letter we will send more information on how to apply so we encourage all foreign students to submit their applications as soon as possible in order to have sufficient time for this visa process.
